So a couple of times since I was about sixteen I've bought dresses from this awesome brand. They provided Gothic Elegance, Emo Cutiepie-ness and most recently Pin up Perfection!
I'll show you my newest purchase from them later on, but for the time being, check out my reviews of previous choices from them!
~~I would recommend with all their dresses to wear a petticoat for the right amount of poofyness, the Gothic dresses look good without one but the swing dresses always look gorgeous with one in my opinion!
Here's their site for you to check out; gorgeous website btw lovely colour scheme! I also love love love this brand for making soooo many different sizes! The "plus" size models really take my breath away <3 It's so nice when a brand caters to everyone!
You need to be a wholesaler to register and view, which the majority of us are not, so we are going to use many websites to browse their selection instead!
I shall take you through the ones I've bought and how much they rocked, I hope you enjoy it ^_^
My first ever H&R dress was an impulse buy when I was sixteen or so, and they still make it!The Black and white polkadot swing dress is a staple of any Rockabilly wardrobe as I'm sure you well know, and their version is my most favourite one ever! It looks absolutely gorgeous with a swing petticoat underneath, and the fit, as always with H&R is totally perfect!
My second ever dress from them was during my Gothic phase, this dress is stunningly beautiful; the Purple flocked halter mini dress! The flocking is actually velvet, and really looks so sumptuous in person! The majority of their styles now are a lot more fifties and rocker girl orientated, which obviously is totally fine in my opinion!
Shortly after I purchased the above dress, I also bought this coat, simply because to me it looked like a funeral directors coat xD the gothic corset coat was a staple part of my wardrobe for a good few years, I wore it to death, literally! The back looks absolutely amazing, however definitely get a size up as their coats run small if you are of the bigger boobied persuasion!
**Quick note to The Gothic Shop, please get better and bigger photos!**
Some more for you goth chicks - The cobweb dress is amazingly cute in a macabre way, so, so beautiful! I wore this with platform stomper boots and spiderweb tights and it really is a show-stopping look!
During my punk phase about two years ago, I discovered this total gem; Biker shirt dress and I really cannot recommend it enough, there's even model photos of me in it somewhere xD Be aware that if you are tall your bum will hang out of this, I had to wear shorts, also the chains at the back snap off the d-rings really easily! I think the belt broke in the end cos I wore it so much :(
Told ya I had a photo!
**Style steal - you can find these online for about £10**
So here is my latest purchases from H&R - The Blue Polkadot Wiggle dress This is my new favourite EVER dress to be honest! The fit is absolutely perfect, it enhances your derrière in the most wonderful way, and of course - halter necks are perfect for larger-boobied ladies!
**Style steal - you can find this on eBay for half the price!**
So I hope you find something that you like, they cater very well to either Gothic or Rockabilly ladies depending upon which sites you look at, and from sizes 8-22 they really are a good place to buy from!
